Set Back the Clock - Dallas Facelift
(Rhytidectomy)
A facelift is designed to soften the deep lines from the corners of the nose and mouth, correct the jowls along the edge of the jaw line, and tighten the excess sagging skin of the neck. Additionally, the facelift tightens the deeper facial muscles and also removes the excess fat under the chin.
Facelifts are performed on an outpatient basis with IV sedation and local anesthesia. Incisions differ slightly from male to female but begin in the hair above the ear and follow the natural curves of the ear and end in the hair behind the ear. There is also a small incision beneath the chin. The surgery usually lasts for approximately three and a half hours. The discomfort, bruising and swelling are minimal. Most patients report that they return to work in one to two weeks. Make-up can be applied within a week. The results are a natural, rested, more youthful attractive face.
